A BARANGAY councilman of Naga City, Cebu province was arrested after being caught repacking shabu in a drug den there.

Police arrested barangay councilman Jimsly Cabizars of Cabungahan and Noel Bartiana, a resident of barangay Tangke at 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Supt. John Clark, Naga City police chief, said the barangay chairman of Tangke complained about a shanty that was turned into a drug den in their area.

Police caught Cabizares and Bartiana repacking the shabu into small sachets.

Clark said both of them didn’t resist arrest.

Recovered from their possession were two small sachets of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Cabizares and Bartiana face charges of illegal drug possession at the fiscal’s office in Talisay City’s Regional Trial Court Friday afternoon.
