ORGANIZERS and stakeholders of the Cobra IronMan 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships will conduct an ocular inspection of the 90-kilometer bike route on Sunday.

Princess Galura, the general manager of Sunrise Events Inc. (SEI), will spearhead the inspection, which aims to point out the possible hazard points of the bike route as well as the areas that need last minute repairs to ensure the safety of the participants.

Galura said the inspection will start at the South Road Properties (SRP). The group will then pass through S. Osmeña Road en route to Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, which is the official starting and finish line of the race that will feature 2,900 triathletes from 43 countries.

Joining Galura tomorrow will be Cebu Provincial administrator Mark Tolentino, representatives from Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City and Talisay City, and members of the media.
Also to be held on Sunday is the bike out that will feature around 500 bikers who are participants of next weekend’s race.
