LONG reigning Filipino world champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes moved up to the flyweight division and will face former former world champion Edgar Sosa in September 24 at the Stub Hub Center in Carson City, California, USA.
ALA Promotions International CEO Michael P. Aldeguer said Nietes will leave the 112lbs division and vacate his WBO light flyweight title for good.
Nietes (38-1-4,22 KOs) and Sosa (52-0,30 KOs) will be featured in the main event and will battle for the WBO intercontinental flyweight title. Sosa is the former WBC world light flyweight champion./Reporter Glendale Rosal
