INFORMATION officers of government agencies elaborated on ways to attract media coverage for their programs and events in a forum with local media over the weekend.
During the forum, Michelle Palaubsanon of The Freeman and Chris Ligan of Catholic Community Television Network (CCTN), said government agencies should understand that media outlets have priorities in covering news.
“Due to constraints, we cannot cover all of these events, so a press release comes in handy,” she said.
She and Ligan also urged agencies to address complaints of erroneous reporting to the media outlet concerned.
