AFTER losing their first assignment, the University of San Carlos (USC) Lady Warriors rebounded in a big way as they destroyed University of San Agustin (USA), 25-9, 25-8, 25-22 to keep their tournament hopes alive in the 21st Philippine University Games women’s volleyball tournament yesterday in Dumaguete City.
USC displayed its full arsenal at the start of the game as it took the first two sets in dominant fashion before finishing off the Agustinians in the tightly contested third set.
An acid test awaits the Lady Warriors today as they battle the Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons at 2:30 p.m.
The Lady Warriors are composed of team captain Debbie Gamboa, Nemy Rose Pangan, Hove Dela Silva, Marie Malagar, Mary Jane Igao, Sheila Ricahuerta, Christa Gonzales, Cris Jezza Estose, Jojie Petilos, Rhea Fuentes, Jasmin Uy and Celine Monsod.
