‘Erring’ Lapu worker asked to explain viral photo
THE Manpower and Development Office (MDO) and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office of Lapu-Lapu City were made to explain by Mayor Paz Radaza about the viral photos of a government employee having her pedicure inside her office during working hours.
The photo posted by Fatima Casio in her Facebook account last Tuesday morning that went viral got 338 views and 549 shares as of 6 p.m. yesterday.
Mayor Radaza immediately sent a memorandum on the same day requesting CSWD officer Carmelita Degamo, Marjorie Cuizon of the MDO and the subject of the complaint Carmelita Casinillo, a job order employee assigned at MDO, to explain the incident.
Casio, who is in her early 20s and a resident of Barangay Mactan, has been in a dialysis for the past four years already.
She went to CSWD to claim the P1,500 financial assistance for her dialysis when she got upset after seeing a government employee having her pedicure at the office of CSWD around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
