Call center agent found dead in rented room
The body of a 24-year-old call center agent was found in the state of decomposition inside her rented room along Limbong Street in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Marichu Carillo’s neck was strangled with an extension cord, said PO3 Cristobal Geronimo of the Cebu City Police Office’s Homicide Division.
“There’s a possibility that she committed suicide,” Geronimo said in an interview.
A text message Carillo sent to a friend last Friday stated that she wanted to end her life.
“Please let him know how much I love him when I’m gone. Please tell my family I love them,” her text message sent at 3:44 p.m. last Friday read.
Based on the investigation, Geronimo said Carillo, a native of Baybay City in Leyte, had a spat with her boyfriend last week.
Carillo’s body was brought to the St. Francis Memorial Homes in Cebu City.
