ATENEO de Cebu, Gab Air Conditioning and Coach K Basketball all emerged with victories at the start of the Cebuano Youth Hoops League last weekend at the Labangon Gym.
In the 10-under division, Ateneo de Cebu defeated Julz Sports/Euliza Enterprises, 54-42, as Dylan Lim, Eric Jabalon and Henry Suico took turns puncturing the latter’s defense.
Lim came up with 18 points while Jabalon and Suico each had 10 to help get the boys in blue off to a victorious start.
In the 12-under category, Coach K Basketball nipped Don Bosco, 60-58, behind the three-headed attack of Justin Deiparine, Cody Ochavo and Joseph Dytian.
Together, the trio combined to score 35 markers to push Coach K Basketball to the victory column.
Ian Aparri led Don Bosco with 17 points.
In the 16-under category, LA Casinillo scored 20 while Ethan Fajardo added 10 to lead Gab Air Conditioning to a 66-45 rout of Julz Sports.
