Taliño ready to assist probe on Kerwin’s coddlers

WHO are Kerwin Espinosa’s protectors?

Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said he’s expecting the big-time drug lord to reveal names of government officials and policemen who were part of the illegal drug syndicate.

“Antayin natin kung sino ang papangalanan niya. In due time, lalabas rin yan. (Let us wait for the names that he will mention. In due time, he will reveal it),” he told reporters when asked to comment on Kerwin’s arrival back to the Philippines.

Taliño said PRO-7 is willing to help in any investigation on Kerwin’s coddlers if asked by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

As to providing security to Kerwin’s family in Cebu City, he said they have not received any request so far.

“If they request us for security, we have to assess whether or not there are really threats,” Taliño said.

He believed Kerwin’s revelations are vital in addressing the illegal drugs problem in the country.

Kerwin, a native of Barangay Hipodromo in Cebu City, arrived at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, early morning yesterday, barely a month after his arrest in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa personally fetched Espinosa inside the Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR657 when it landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 2 at 3:35 a.m.
