Jeepney dispatcher killed in Lapu, 3 others nabbed for drugs
A JEEPNEY dispatcher allegedly involved in illegal drug trade was shot dead, while two other women were hit by stray bullets in Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, past 6 p.m. on Monday.
Christian Salacao of Sitio Paradise, Barangay Pajo, died after being shot by an unidentified person who wore a long-haired wig and a dress. Salacao sustained five gunshot wounds in the nape and head resulting in his death.
Two other residents — Juditha Tumulak, 54, an employee of Lapu-Lapu’s Clean and Green, and Melody Padillo, 20, a promodizer, were hit by stray bullets. Tumulak was brought to the hospital after sustaining wounds on her left thigh and right thigh, as well as Padillo, who was hit on her left arm.
According to Salacao’s neighbors, aside from being involved in illegal drugs, the victim also had an altercation with a PUJ driver prior to the incident.
Meanwhile, three drug suspects fell into the hands of Subangdaku police led by Chief Insp. Genilo Veraque at past 5 p.m. on Hernan Cortes Street, Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City at past 5 p.m. on Monday. They are Reynold Medrina, 40; Armando Montemar, 42; and Marites Gallardo, 31.
Medrina yielded two small sachets of suspected shabu and P200 buy-bust money, while Montemar and Gallardo each had in their possession two small sachets of suspected shabu.
