A buy-bust operation was conducted by the Alcoy Police Office in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-7), at around 2 p.m., Sunday.
The operation in Barangay Daanlungson resulted to the arrest of 36 year old Eugene Herbias Cardenio.
According to an initial investigation report, Cardenio was a resident of Barangay Bulacao, Pardo, Cebu City who had sold white crystalline substances believed to be shabu (methamphetamine) for two days in Alcoy.
Four small sachets of the suspected shabu amounting to P3,000 were confiscated from Cardenio along with used tin foil, a lighter, and the 500-peso buy-bust money.
Cardenio will be charged for violating R.A. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
