Valentine’s Day services at Mandaue City Hall

SINGLE people or those who just went through a breakup can console themselves through free medical checkups and express lanes in Mandaue City Hall for today’s observance of Valentine’s Day.

“In the spirit of solidarity, we decided to put aside several express lanes in some of our key business processes,” Mandaue City Mayor Gabriel Luis Quisumbing said in a press conference yesterday.

Marie Bolanon, Quality Management System chief, said single people and anyone who feels unloved will be prioritized for services like medical checkups, processing of documents and other services along with seniors and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“This is an additional priority lane. There is no need to present any ID card. To anyone who feels that they are not loved, Mandaue loves you. We just really want everyone to know that Mandaue is here,” Bolanon said.

A local Cebuano band will also serenade people tomorrow outside City Hall.

The City Health Office will also offer free blood pressure and sugar testing.

Those undergoing blood sugar tests are required to fast for eight hours prior to testing.
