SPECIAL DATE
Two reporters asked each other about their dates during Valentine’s Day as they took a pause from writing their stories.
One of them replied, “I dated myself. I’ve gotten used to this anyway. After all, I’ve been single for 30 years,” he said.
He told the other reporter that “it’s not good to be alone on Valentine’s” and urged him to find a special someone lest he falls behind.
ROMANTIC TIES
Two friends asked each other to describe what a date is.
“Can I just invite somebody to eat out somewhere and label it a date?” one asked.
The other replied that a date can be friendly and even be with family members as in a date with one’s parent and confidant. Unsatisfied, the friend asked again.
“How about mating? Does it require that two persons are romantically involved?”
Exasperated, the other replied that mating can also be business and cited a number of foreign movies where men or women paid for intimacy from strangers.
OVERNIGHT CAMP
Four friends who went overnight camping on top of one of Cebu’s famous mountains experienced trouble on the way to the summit.
One of them nearly passed out and complained she couldn’t go any farther anymore. Despite being helped by friends, the camper didn’t feel too good until she saw other campers approaching them.
The camper suddenly stood upright and enthusiastically persuaded her friends to resume their trek.
Her three friends weren’t convinced and called off the trip to her consternation.
