CEBUANA tennister Elizabeth Abarquez looks to add another trophy to her collection as she competes in the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Championships today at the Nazareth Lawn Tennis Club in Cagayan de Oro City.
The 15-year-old Abarquez will be competing in the 16-under and 18-under category of the tournament. She admitted that she might have a hard time winning a title, most especially with the entry of hometown bet Mary Aubrey Calma.
But she vowed to give it her all.
“I will just do my best in the tournament,” Abarquez said.
Abarquez, who completed a two-title romp in the Cebu leg last month, earned a bye in both divisions and will wait for the winners of the Annamae Mendoza-Jessa Mae Tuba battle in the 16-under category and the Jem Gupit-Joanne Gornes match in the 18-under play to determine her opponents this afternoon.
