Streaking Suson eyes another twinkill in Maasin netfest
ENJOYING a magnificent run that saw him snatch three championship titles in Bohol and another two in Baybay City, Leyte last week, Cebuano tennis sensation Marc Nicole Suson tries to stay to hot when he competes in the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Championships, which fires off today in Maasin City, Leyte.
The 16-year-old Suson will be going up against some of the best netters in the region in his bid to to complete another twinkill.
Suson will compete in the boys’ 16-under and 18-under singles tournaments.
Suson admitted feeling some pressure, but he remains confident of coming up with another good harvest on the road.
“Yes, I can win the championship here. I will pray to God always and just trust my game,” Suson said.
A successful outing by Suson will boost his bid of moving up in the February rankings of the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) as he is currently tied at seventh place with Vince Tugade with 1,180 points.
Champion in this competition will be awarded with 120 points while the runner up will settle for 100 markers.
