CEBUANO Marc Nicole Suson needed just a set to move into the second round of the 16-under boys category of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Tournament yesterday in Maasin City, Leyte.
This after the 16-year old tennis sensation put up a dominating performance in the opening set which forced his opponent to retire by coming up with a 6-1 (retired) victory over July Parilla who did not give any specifics as to why he retired at the start of the second set.
With the win, Suson will be locking horns with Aaron Geromo in the next round.
Suson who was awarded a bye in the opening round will also begin his title aspirations in the 18-under boys division today as he is set to take on the winner of the Parilla-Nik Isagan match which was still played as of this writing.
