19th BTA-Cebu Sinulog Open bowling slated January 23-28
BOWLERS from all over the country will gather in Cebu next month as Bowlingplex Tenpin Association- Cebu (BTA-Cebu) hosts the 19th Sinulog Open National Tournament on January 23-28, 2018 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad, Cebu City.
The six-day tournament is expecting over a hundred keglers from clubs and bowling associations like the Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF), Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) and National Bowling Tour (NBT) to exhibit their skills.
The tournament is sanctioned by the PBF and will feature two divisions – the Mixed Open and Seniors.
Winners in the Mixed Open division will take home almost P150,000 in cash with the champion bagging P70,000, P35,000 for the first runner-up and P17,500 for the second runner-up with trophies.
Meanwhile, P100,000 are at stake in the Seniors division with the champion taking home P50,000, P25,000 for the first runner-up and P12,500 for the second runner-up. The top three will also receive a trophy each.
Registration fee is pegged at P3,000 in all divisions with additional freebies for the first 100 registrants.
In the last BTA-Cebu Sinulog Open National Tournament, Cebuano youngster Aui Padawan was crowned Masters champion worth P60,000 cash and a trophy. He won by knocking down a total of 2,172 pinfalls. He will defend his title.
