E-Leagues: Lions win ten in a row

THE DREAMSCAPE Lions continued on their magical unbeaten run as they racked up their tenth win in a row with an 87-56 beating of the CTC Panthers in the Evo League division of the 2018 Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

Versatile forward Ralph Belarmino showcased his all-around skills, tallying a rare triple double of 25 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists to go with three steals to lead the Lions to a 10-0 (win-loss) mark.

In the other Evo League match, the Author Solutions Philippines Inc. Hardbacks continued their rise after defeating the Cognizant Gladiators, 84-53.

Sharpshooter Ryan Lauro singed the nets with 23 points while Syv Millevo added 15 points, 10 boards, three assists and two steals to help the Hardbacks get to 6-3, good for fourth place in the standings.

In the Elite Classic, the Accenture Sharks and the Sykes Pioneers kept their lofty positions at the top after registering impressive wins over the weekend.

The Sharks trounced the Wipro Tigers, 77-62, on the strength of Archie Batua’s 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Accenture thus improved their record to 11-1.

The Pioneers, meanwhile, defeated the Fusion Dragons, 99-91, as Janjan Auditor and Earl Montilla put on solid performances, the former putting up 21 points and seven rebounds and the latter collecting 17 points, eight boards, six assists and four steals to help the team boost their record to 8-3.
