FORMER national champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles gun for the championship as they battle rivals University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors in the finals of the 2014 Seaoil National Basketball Training Center Cebu leg on Sunday at the Capitol Parish gym.
The Eagles have remained unscathed all tournament long and will be looking for a repeat of their 72-69 win over the Baby Warriors in their lone encounter in the elimination round.
However, regardless of the result of today’s title game, the two teams have already secured slots to the National High Finals set on March 6 to 9 at the Meralco Gym and the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig.
The Magis Eagles and the Baby Warriorswill be going up against St. Francis of Assisi College (North Cavite), West Negros College (Bacolod), Iloilo Central Commercial High School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori (Cagayan de Oro), Southern City College (Zamboanga) and qualifiers from the Metro Manila Basketball League (MMBL) Chiang Kai Shek, Hope Christian High and National University (Teams A and B)./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
