4 nabbed, close to P500K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Danao
ALMOST half-a-million pesos worth of shabu were seized while four men were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Danao City, northern Cebu.
The target of the operation was Alcar Toilbas, whom police said was capable of selling 200 grams of shabu a week.
Operatives of the Regional Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group also arrested Rene Beduya, Eric Escobillo and Norlito Batulan for allegedly conniving with Toilbas in selling illefal drugs.
The buy-bust operation took place in Toilbas’ house last Tuesday night.
Senior Insp. Henrix Bancoleta said 23 packs of suspected shabu worth P450,000 were seized from the suspects.
Meanwhile, about 80 kilograms of dried marijuana plants worth P400,000 were burned yesterday at the headquarters of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA) in sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
The marijuana plants were seized last month in barangay Bayong, Balamban town.
