No central crime file hounds cops

THE absence of a centralized rogues gallery is among the concerns that the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) identified as a drawback in their anti-criminality campaign, Councilor Gerry Carillo said.

Carillo said that under the present set up, each of the police stations or units keep their own rogues gallery which inconveniences complainants since they have to go to different police station to take a look at the pictures of criminals.

“We are spending a lot on the police but there are still a lot of problems that have yet to be addressed,” Carillo told CCPO director, Senior Supt. Noli Romana in a public hearing of the City Council on Monday afternoon.

Romana told the councilors that before his stint in the city ends, he is committed to introduce systems improvements at CCPO.
