FEU, UST battle for last spot in NCC Final Four

By: Jonas N. Panerio December 03,2013 - 08:20 AM

THE FAR EASTERN University (FEU) Tamaraws showed that the future holds bright even without their star backcourt after they advanced to the finals of the Luzon-Metro Manila regionals with an 88-70 win over the National University (NU) Bulldogs in the 2013 National Collegiate Championship yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Guard Mike Tolomia and import Anthony Hargrove took turns pounding the NU defense to help the Tams come closer to a berth in the Final Four of this tournament.

Hargrove finished with a double-double of 28 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks while Tolomia added 24 points, four boards and two assists.

FEU faces off against University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, which defeated NCAA second placers Letran Knights, 77-60.
