Rider injured after his motorcycle clips SUV in Busay
CEBU CITY, Philippines — A rider was injured after the motorcycle he was riding on clipped a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on the opposite lane along the Transcentral Highway in Barangay Busay, Cebu City at past 1 p.m. today, March 14.
Joey Tan, 25, was injured in the arm after he was thrown off his motorcycle when it hit the SUV as he negotiated a curved road in the area, said Police Senior Master Sergeant Edgardo Becoy, desk officer of the Mabolo Police Station, in a phone interview on Sunday, March 14.

Initial investigation showed that Victor Larasavan, 29, of Barangay Lahug, Cebu City was driving his SUV near the Maria Luisa Gate along the Transcentral Highway in Barangay Busay, when the accident happened.
Becoy said that they believed that Tan encroached on the lane of the SUV as he negotiated a curved part of the road, clipping its side.
“Pagkurbada basin nisobra na,” he said.
(When he negotiated a curved portion of the road he could have encroached on the other lane.)
He also said that both drivers agreed to a settlement and they would finalize this when Tan would be discharged from the hospital.
