The Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals ended their first round on a positive note as they dealt the reeling San Sebastian Stags a 71-56 whooping in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament yesterday at the Arena in San Juan.
Guard John Tayongtong redeemed himself for his endgame blunder in their 79-81 loss to Jose Rizal University (JRU) by scoring 17 points and dishing out three assists. Jan Jamon added 16 while Cedric Happi contributed 13 markers for the Generals, who tied their victims at the eighth spot with similar marks of 3-6 (win-loss).
