A security guard of the Talisay City branch of Avon Cosmetics in barangay Tabunok died after foiling a robbery attempt at 2:40 p.m. today.
SPO2 Oliver Dacua of the Talisay City police said one of the two robbers used a taser on security guard Ramil Bono, immobilizing him while the other one ordered some products.
One of the robbers then tried to get Bono’s service firearm but the guard fought back, causing the other robber to fire two shots on Bono’s head and the left side of his stomach, killing him on the spot.
Recovered from the crime scene were two empty .45 bullets. People outside the Avon cosmetics outlet were unable to determine which way the suspects fled.
