The state weather bureau Pagasa is tracking a tropical depression and a low pressure area (LPA) that could enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in a few days.
The tropical depression was located at approximately 1,800 kilometers east PAR, while the LPA was at 300 kilometers east of PAR, state-run Panahon.TV said yesterday.
The weather disturbance may enter PAR by Friday if it continues its westward movement.
If it enters PAR, it will be called “Neneng.” Panahon.TV reported the following possible scenarios:
-The LPA would either dissipate or be absorbed by the tropical depression.
-If the tropical depression moves west-northwest, it will enter PAR by Friday.
– If it moves north-northwest and shifts direction, it will not enter PAR.
For Monday, the southwest monsoon in Mindanao will bring light to moderate rains in Davao and Caraga.
Fair weather is expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, but isolated rains or thunderstorms were forecast in the afternoon or evening.
