Football marathon for a cause aims for world record

The Lexmark Football Club is holding a football marathon for a cause in its bid to break the Guinness World Book of Records title currently held by the United Kingdom for the longest football match that lasted for 72 hours.

The Lexmark Football Club and the BPO Football Clubs in Cebu will play on Nov. 26 to 30 at the D’Family Park in Talamban, Cebu City for 101 hours to surpass UK’s 72 hours.

The event, dubbed as “Kick for Life: Football Marathon 101, aims to raise funds for Let it Echo Foundation, a non-profit organization helping patients and families afflicted with congenital heart defects.

This is in partnership with the Cebu City government, Cebu Football Association and other private companies.
