By: Melissa Q. Cabahug November 01,2014 - 07:29 AM

A coconut farmer was stabbed dead by a 65-year-old man in barangay Cogon, Tuburan town, northern Cebu.

Ramil Dañas, 22, succumbed to a stab wound in the abdomen.

A personal grudge was the motive in the attack.

PO1 Liliano Pepito said the victim and the suspect, Felipe Caseda, had been at odds for some time.

Police said that at past 5 p.m. Thursday, Dañas and his brother Eboy were counting the proceeds of the coconuts they had just sold when Caseda arrived and attacked the victim with a knife.

The suspect fled after the attack.

The victim was brought to the Tuburan District Hospital where he was declared dead.
