Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 goes to UP Cebu

As one of Southeast Asia’s most visited tourist destinations for both leisure and business, the Tourism Malaysia is proud to present MyFEST 2015 Tour and Road Show. Targeting local travel agencies and other tourism industry professionals, MyFEST 2015 has also reached out to universities such as Centro Escolar University to promote the beauty and rich cultural diversity of Malaysia.

To complement the momentum that the Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014 campaign has started, MyFEST 2015 will have over 200 exciting events and festivities to be shared to its visitors. This campaign aims to give tourists a magical holiday experience. Malaysia is expecting to welcome around 30 million tourists to the country with the help of this campaign.

Hence, Tourism Malaysia – Manila conducted an exciting road show. Invitees included state tourism boards, tour operators and product owners from Malaysia. These delegates had a chance to meet with their local counterparts in the Philippines with one objective altogether, which is to mutually promote the wonders of both Malaysia and the Philippines.

One of the stops of the road show was University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu students took part in the various presentations prepared by Tourism Malaysia and its event partners Legoland Malaysia Resort and Cebu Pacific Air. The event was organized by Tourism Malaysia, with the help of the RM Eventsmaker team, headed by Mr. Ritchell Mendoza.

Fun games and impressive cultural presentations were prepared by Tourism Malaysia. Another airline partner was given the chance to talk about their brand before the grand raffle and a closing dance presentation by cultural troops before delegates departed for Manila via Cebu Pacific.
