THE CFGA grabbed the solo lead as they handed the Christ’s Commission Fellowship their first loss of the tournament, 72-63, in the 34-below division of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) basketball tournament last weekend at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

The win was CFGA’s sixth in as many games while the loss dropped CCF to second place with a 4-1 win-loss record in division A. GWUC and Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship are currently tied for third place after registering victories during games played last Sunday and Monday.

BHUF bested VNBC, 61-53, while GWUC got past the TCOC Warriors, 70-61.

Meanwhile, in division B, the Praise Cathedral Nets kept their record clean as they gained their fifth win in a row with a 63-48 drubbing of the MCA-A. Former Letran Knight Franz Dysam paced the balanced effort with 12 points. BCCP kept within striking distance of the leaders with a 75-47 rout of the Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service, for their fifth victory against a lone loss.

In the 35-above class, the Living Word-International Bible Institute won their sixth straight game with an 84-69 victory over MCA.
