A 54-YEAR-OLD MAN out on bail for a homicide case was shot dead in barangay Banhigan, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Ricardo Romero was waylaid while he was driving a motorcycle on his way home past 7 p.m. last Thursday.
Police said two men on a motorcycle tailed the victim. As they closed in on him, the backrider drew a gun and shot him in the head.
Romero was brought to a hospital in Cebu City but died along the way.
PO3 Jehazel Huyo-a said the homicide case filed against the man in December 2004 may have a correlation with the attack.
