CLIFFOR Tan beat Heber Alqueza by a hairline, 1,220-1,219 last Sunday in the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) monthly tournament for May at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad, Cebu City.
Bede Ilano finished third with 1,184 pinfalls.
Tan’s victory pushed him to the yearend BTA Bowler of the Year Finals alongside early qualifiers GJ Buyco (January), Bel Suelto Jr. (February), Xyrra Cabusas (March), and Clarence Tiu (April).
Six more spots are still to be filled up until the BTA Bowler of the Year finals in December.
