Cebu provincial officer Ferdinand Gujilde said the Commission on Election (Comelec) offices in Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-lapu will be open from Monday to Friday and work overtime on Saturday starting Sept. 1 for voter registration.
Before the issuance of Comelec Resolution No. 9979 prescribing this change, field offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) and highly urbanized cities were open from Monday to Friday with overtime work on Sunday.
Gujilde told reporters that field offices in towns and other cities in the province will observe the same schedule.
All field offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., he said.
