THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) Warriors continued to reign supreme as they destroyed the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, 87-74, in the 15th Cesafi men’s basketball tournament yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.

The win firmly placed the Warriors in front of the pursuing pack as it was their ninth win in 10 games.

Shooster Olago was a man amongst boys as he scored at will en route to scoring 30 points and grabbing seven rebounds. He was supported well by rebounding demon Charles Pepito, who had 17 points and 11 rebounds while Mavii Suarez chipped in 13.

USJ-R fell to 4-6 (win-loss) for the season and remained in the fourth spot in the race for the final semifinal seat.

RJ Dinolan led the way with 19 points while Ricky Peromingan had 13. Miguel Gastador and Mac Labares each tallied 11.

In the juniors division, the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters stunned the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors, 76-66, behind a masterful performance by Gelmart Umpad, who  tallied  12 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and six steals.
