OVER 12,000 delegates from Cebu’s 44 municipalities will be heading south this weekend as they vie for supremacy in the 2015 Cebu Provincial Sports and Cultural Meet slated from Nov. 22 to 28 in the municipality of Dalaguete.
The annual province-wide games is also co-hosted by the municipalities of Argao, Alcoy and Boljoon.
The Municipality of Liloan is sending the most number of delegates with 860 competitors (538 in secondary and 322 in elementary) while Balamban has the second-biggest contingent with 852 athletes.
The week-long event will feature 20 sports disciplines including basketball, volleyball, archery, arnis, wushu, baseball, boxing, billiards, football and swimming.
The meet will also feature other events like the Drum and Lyre elementary and secondary contest which will be held at the Dalaguete National High School (DNHS), vocal solo/duet, balak, balitaw, folk dance, dance palabas and Miss DepEd Cebu at the Dalaguete Sports Complex.
