Twelve persons were arrested when police raided a “shabu tiangge” in barangay Tangke, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
It was the second anti-drug operation conducted in sitio Galaxy where illegal drugs are openly sold by the roadside, said Supt. Fermin Armendarez III of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7).
He said a buy-bust operation was conducted against Delmar Gasalatan Gaviola.
While police were able to arrest Gaviola, his cohorts identified only as Baka, Insik and Robot escaped.
Police seized 203 packs of suspected shabu and drug-sniffing paraphernalia during the arrest.
Police later discovered two suspected drug dens about 200 meters from the barangay hall.
Arrested were Richard Relampagos, Jeffrey Bullicer, Joven Engbino, Robert Singco, Darwin Bayadog, Lester Heruela, Wilmar Bacaldo, Ricky Galo, Danilo Pantaleon, Jessie Cabane and Jhnrey Saburdo, who were caught in the drug dens in congested neighborhoods.
Packs of suspected shabu were seized from the arrested persons, police said.
