It was a sea of blue and white – party colors of the Garcia-led One Cebu – inside the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on Tuesday morning for the formal launching of the local party’s coalition with the opposition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).

At least 3,000 supporters of One Cebu converged at the hotel for the general assembly to announce the partnership with UNA headed by Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Loud cheers and festive percussion music greeted the arrival of Binay, One Cebu gubernatorial bet Winston Garcia and members of their slates inside the ballroom past 11 a.m.

Also present at the launching were UNA senatorial candidates Rey Langit and Princess Jacel Kiran who sought the help of One Cebu supporters during their respective speeches.

Incidentally, while the One Cebu-UNA assembly is ongoing, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, running mate of presidential candidate Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was in Mandaue City to hold a dialogue with students of Cebu Doctors University.
