FOUR persons were arrested and suspected illegal drugs with an estimated amount of P150,000 were seized in separate police operations in the cities of Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue.

Police said Jerry Palagnas, 35; Felicisimo Zapanta, 25; and Ricky Pedroza, 39; all residents of Sitio Sto. Rosario, Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City, connived in selling drugs to a poseur-buyer.

Seized from Palagnas was the P200 buy-bust money, 26 sachets of suspected shabu, drug-sniffing paraphernalia and a .45 caliber pistol with six bullets.

A sachet of suspected shabu and a .38 revolver were recovered from Zapanta’s possession, while Pedroza yielded drug-sniffing paraphernalia, said Senior Insp. Alfredo Puhay, chief of the Basak Police Station.

The confiscated illegal drugs were worth P20,000 based on Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value.

In Lapu-Lapu City, 53-year-old Raul Gelig was arrested after he allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 to a police decoy.

Police said they seized 26 sachets and two medium-sized packs of suspected shabu, P640 cash and drug paraphernalia from Gelig’s possession.

The confiscated drugs were estimated to cost P133,930 based on DDB value, police said.
