ATC jins show off in PTA Regional C’ships
JINS from the Avenger’s Taekwondo Center (ATC) made waves in the PTA Regional Taekwondo Championships held last weekend at the Cebu City Sports Academy in San Nicolas, Cebu City.
ATC of coach Avenger Alob collected 11 golds, nine silvers, and nine bronze medals in the poomsae event while Team Air Force also dominated and bagged 11 golds, five silvers, and two bronzes in the sparring event.
The jins who lived up to coach Alob’s name were Camille Sevilles in the seniors’ division and Brent Sevilles, Leica Daquipil and Nathaniel Bautista in the children’s category.
Jay Samantha Abrigonda also won a gold for ATC in the cadet division. The duo of Raymond Alob and Kylie Villaflor also won the Cadet’s pair division.
Jaye Samantha, Sean Margaret Jae Abrinaga and Leica Anastacia Daquipil also added golds in the bucket in the advanced children-cadet competition.
Team Star Taekwondo of renowned mentor Glenn Lava placed second in the poomsae with nine golds, a silver and a bronze. Team Toledo Taekwondo was at third with 5 golds, 9 silvers and 5 bronze medals in the same class.
Xandu Taekwondo landed second (9-3-4) in sparring followed by Toledo at third place (8-5-2).
