South bus terminal will be temporarily transferred to SRP

Cebu Daily News January 15,2014 - 11:21 AM

Those taking buses in and out of Cebu City will not find the South Bus Terminal open starting 10 a.m. Saturday.

Terminal operations will be temporarily transfered this weekend to the vacant lot in the South Road Properties (SRP) on the site where the San Pedro Calungsod Templete was constructed.

This scheme was followed last year to reduce congestion on N. Bacalso Avenue during the Sto. Niño procession and Sinulog parade.

Days before the weekend transfer, bus owners will also remind passengers of the change.

“I hope the public will cooperate with the traffic rules we set for a successful and safer Sinulog celebration,” said Dave Tumulak of Citom.
