2 drug suspects nabbed in Mabolo

June 10,2016 - 10:51 PM

TWO of the most wanted drug pushers in Barangay Mabolo were arrested in two separate operations by policemen from the Cebu City Intelligence Bureau (CIB) on Wednesday night.

Senior Insp. Rolito Supatan, CIB chief, told reporters yesterday that his men, acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, proceeded to Barangay Mabolo and caught Romell Capuyan, 40, of Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Apas, while in a pot session.

Capoyan is said to be a drug pusher in the area and No. 6 in the Lambat Sibat target list of the Mabolo Police Station.

Found in his possession were two hand-rolled tin foils, one foil strip used as funnel and a disposable lighter.

Capoyan then admitted to the police that his source of illegal drugs is Virgilio Matchang.

Matchang when arrested had six small sachets and one medium-sized sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, and another sachet of suspected shabu worth P300 seized in a buy-bust operation.

“Kini siya (Matchang) kay (He is) No. 2 sa (in) most wanted list sa (in) Mabolo,” said Supatan.

The two suspects are facing charges violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently detained at the Cebu City Police Office. /UP Mass Comm Intern Maurice Jitty Villaester
