P1.4M marijuana uprooted in Balamban town

ABOUT P1.4 million worth of marijuana were uprooted by personnel of the Balamban police precinct and the Philippine Army’s 47th Infantry Battalion (47IB) in Sitio Dao, Bagakay and Cabatbatan of Barangay Bayong in Balamban town.

PO1 Andie Mabanta, duty desk officer of the Balamban police precinct, said the no one claimed ownership of the 7,000 stalks of marijuana plants located 30 km of barangay Poblacion.

Most of these marijuana stalks were burned by the police and the army while Balamban police took a few branches as evidence.
