THREE suspected drug pushers were arrested by the elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) in Barangay Basak Pardo, Cebu City, last Thursday.

Jeffrey Pinili, 26; along with his brother Arein Pinili, 27, a welder; and Ryx Delfinado, 25, a medical representative, were nabbed in a house in the area that was allegedly being used as a drug den.

According to Leiah Albiar, PDEA-7 public information officer, residents were alarmed because a lot of people, including minors, were going in and out of the house starting in the evening until morning.

Albiar said that they monitored the target, Jeffrey, for two weeks before conducting the raid.

One of the suspects, Ryx, however, denied that he was involved in the illegal drug activity. He said he was there to look for an automobile mechanic who is a friend of Jeffrey.

Seized from the suspects were six grams of alleged shabu worth P17,700 and a buy-bust money worth P200.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. /USJ-R INTERN DELYNE MARL SARAGENA
