Mandaue City Hall government hired new 800 Job Order (JO) employees as a replacement of 800 previous JOs who failed to renew their contract.

Mandaue City Mayor Luigi Quisumbing clarified that hiring of new JOs is to make sure that the quality of the output in City Hall will improve and has nothing to do with any political issues.

“Most of the JO’s who were not renewed were less than about a thousand, we wanted man gud to make sure that the quality of work outputs sa cityhall will continue to improve and whether we like it or not there have been quite a few jo’s that have done a tremendous good job, however there are some jo’s that quite frankly we are dissatisfied of what they have been putting out, a lot of problems persist,” he told CDN.

Meanwhile, Quisumbing is planning to open positions that can regularize those Job Order (JO) employees who have been in the service for more than 20 years.

The previous JO employees ended their contract last Saturday, June 30.
