A 23-year-old man was slightly injured after being hit by a car in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Though he escaped with minor injuries, the accident got Lester Vilaber in trouble after hospital staff later found packs of shabu in his pocket.

Villaber, a resident of barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City, was walking along barangay Mabolo early morning when the accident occured.

The driver of the car didn’t bother to check on the victim and sped off, leaving Villaber slumped on the ground, police said.

Some residents brought the man to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

Nurses attending to the man later called the Carbon Police Station after they found seven packs believed to contain shabu in the man’s pocket.

PO2 Mario Nator said Villaber refused to reveal where he got the packs.
Police said the man will be charged with possession of illegal drugs.
