An explosive twinbill awaits basketball fans today as the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors guns for their third win in a row even as heated rivals, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles and the University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers, renew their rivalry in the Cesafi basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.
After losing their first game against the Southwestern University (SWU), the Warriors, who’ll face the University of Cebu today, have reeled off two straight wins, including a 72-62 victory over the Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats that installed them in second place with a 2-1 (win-loss) record.
All eyes though, are set on the juniors match between the Magis Eagles (2-0) and the Baby Lancers (3-0).
With both teams sporting unbeaten records, something is bound to give in what is expected to be tension-filled match-up between the two title contenders.
