Developer Filinvest Land, Inc. targets to complete Sanremo Oasis and turn over the third building of Amalfi Oasis by 2017.

Both Sanremo and Amalfi are mid-rise condominium projects at City di Mare, Filinvest’s 50-hectare development at the South Road Properties (SRP) in a joint venture with the Cebu City government.

The two condominium projects offer a total of 300 units.

Julie Castaños, senior manager for project development of FLI projects at the SRP, said two Amalfi Oasis buildings have been turned over to clients.

Between 80 and 100 people have already moved into the buildings, Castaños said.

The third Amalfi building, which was recently topped off, is targeted to be completed and ready for turnover either in the last quarter of 2016 or in the first quarter of 2017.

Castaños said reservations have been made for condominium units in the third building, which is located in a quieter area.

Amalfi offers two types of units to clients: a 54-square-meter 2-bedroom unit that costs P5.5 million to P7.2 million; and a 108-square-meter 3-bedroom unit that costs P8.7 million to P13.2 million.

Five more buildings will be built. The Amalfi clubhouse, as well as several other amenities such as the courtyard and pool, will be ready for use this month.

Filinvest also plans to turn over the amenities of Sanremo Oasis this month.

The last three buildings that will complete the 8-building project will be turned over to buyers by 2017, Castaños said.

Five Sanremo buildings have already been completed and turned over to clients, she added.

Sanremo Oasis and Amalfi Oasis comprise the first cluster of an 8-cluster master plan. They are also the only medium-rise condominium projects in the master plan.

“All the rest of the clusters will be high-rise buildings,” Castaños said.

Bolero Binamira, assistant vice president and area sales head for Visayas, said City di Mare is being developed as a nuclear city.

“This is the new urbanization concept,” he said.

He said the development of nuclear cities at the SRP will not only make SRP the “next modern Makati,” but will also reduce urban sprawl, lessen congestion in Cebu City, and promote a more environment-friendly city.

City di Mare also includes the 10-hectare Il Corso commercial and recreational development.
