Officers of a bus company were sued in court for allegedly refusing to settle their obligations to a call center agent who was badly hurt in a road collision in Talisay City.

Jill Niño Vestil sought the intervention of the Cebu City Regional Trial Court to compel Vallacar Transit Inc. to pay over P1 million for the medical expenses and other damages incurred when his vehicle was hit by a Ceres Bus Lines last April 27.

In his complaint, he incurred hospital bills and other medical expenses amounting to P753,273.

Vestil said he also had to pay at least P274,203 for medicines, and P55,000 for the repair of his Suzuki pick up.

Since he was unable to report to work for two months, the plaintiff said he also didn’t receive any income worth P32,000.

In his complaint, Vestil said he was driving his Suzuki pick up along N. Bacalso Avenue, when the Ceres Liner Bus driven by Gimarangan “negligently and unlawfully” hit his vehicle.

As a result of the collision, Vestil sustained injuries that required medical attention.
