Buglasan festival: Lutong Garbo cook match open to Negrenses
THE tenth ‘Lutong Garbo’ grand cook match is now open to all Negrenses for this year’s Buglasan Festival.
The deadline of submission of entry is on Oct. 12 at the Provincial Tourism Office, Sidlakang Negros Village, Dumaguete City.
Over P70,000 in prize money is up for grabs for local culinary talents who will join the Lutong Garbo competition on Oct. 17 at the Provincial Agriculturist Office in the city.
Lutong Garbo Committee chair Sylvia Uy called on the local government units (LGUs) to join the contest.
Winners will receive trophies and P10,000 cash for the first prize, P7,000 for second prize, and P5,000 for the third placer.
Non-winners will not go home empty-handed as they will each receive a consolation prize of P2,500 and a certificate of appreciation.
The use of canned goods, imported products and ingredients such as monosodium glutamate, and artificial seasonings are not allowed.
