SUPPORTSAVE, TECH MAHINDRA STAY UNBEATEN

EJ Saavedra and Niño Belande came up with solid double-double games to help their respective teams stay unbeaten in the EVO League of the 12th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball at the CSC-C Gym.

Saavedra piled up 23 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and a steal to lead the Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties to a 76-61 win over the United Health Group Cobras.

The Tech Mighties, who climbed to 5-0 (win-loss), also got 10 markers, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals from Kenneth Yodj Garcia. Joseph Juariza scored 14 points, Orville Tipon fired 12 for the Cobras, who tasted their second defeat in three games.

Belande, on the other hand, collected 20 markers, 11 boards, six steals, five assists and block to buoy the Supportsave Dragons to a 90-61 triumph over the Teletech Titans.

Gerald Mari Baritua added 11 points, Justin Marie Mier had 10 in the Dragons third straight victory. Perry Niones produced 23 markers, 16 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in a solid game that went to naught as the Titans stayed winless after four games.

Also scoring a win in the EVO League were the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs, who clipped the winless Atos Falcons, 79-68.

Improving to 2-3, the Flying Lemurs drew a stellar performance from Jerard dela Cerna, who delivered 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Reymund Ardiente and Lawrence Lanz Lopez combined for 18 points for the Falcons, who crashed to their fourth defeat.

In the lone Elite Classic match, the Accenture Sharks snatched their second straight victory by downing the Tesltra Boomerangs, 68-63.
